My dream house

We will be moving into our own house by September. I feared my parents would be upset when I broke the news to them, but my mother seemed thrilled to hear this. Perhaps she was waiting for us to leave. Two lazy mongers out of her home will mean lesser work for her. That is a different story altogether.

Back on earth!!

Yeah!!!!!
India has a woman president finally. We did what most of so-called white, developed countries could not. Seems like it’s the golden era for our womenfolk. Sunita Williams in space, Pratibha Patil in Raisina Hills, Shilpa Shetty in Big Brother, and so on and so forth (actually, I ran out of names).

An air hostess has recently moved into our apartment complex. She is from one of those new budget airlines where you are not fed or given good seats but you can be content with the air hostesses. And this one certainly looked good.

Recently there was a news in most of the dailies about a German tourist – Marc Stollreiter. He was visiting the “Dharti ka Swarg” Kashmir’s capital, Srinagar. He was taken aback by the cleanliness of Dal lake and decided to do something about it. News was he and one another Belgian tourist pooled between them around Rs. 35,000, hired some porters and boats, and then accompanied by another sixty volunteers removed several tonnes of plastic garbage from the lake. He was hoping that people will now do something about it, may be out of shame that someone else is doing their job.
