My Ego-surfing
May 21st, 2009 by Virendra
I had not much work today. So I decided what any IT guy must have done atleast once in his life – egosurfing. Ok, it means the practice of searching for one’s own given name, surname, full name, pseudonym, or screen name on a popular search engine, to see what results appear (Well, Thank You Google). And would you believe it, searching Virendra lists this very site (www.virendra.org) in the very first position.
Now this is some success. Given nobody but myself is visiting this page and there is more chance of finding alien life than somebody reading this post, this is a remarkable achievment, won’t you say.
Well, actually I had better plans to popularise this site. It included writing slanderous articles about Dalai Lama and Hugo Chavez. Former will bring me loads of fame (or notoriety, depending on if you are dealing business with Chinese Commies) and latter the much required capital from Americans (they still are richer than me). And I thought if that doens’t succeeds there are always stolen videos and pictures to fall back on. But unfortunately, my conscience is again winning the war.
Never mind, in times of recession, it is always good to be money centric.

You’re lucky Virender Sehwag spells his first name the way he does. 😉
🙂 This is what I have actually done – ‘Ego-surfing’ as you have termed. Lucky you to have your blog listed first.
