Saving money from courts!
Jun 8th, 2010 by Virendra
Watching news of verdicts of Bhopal Gas, Bhanwari Bai case, Jessica Lal murder case, Nithari case, Ruchika case and so on, I was wondering why don’t these people just shut up. Media and victims are creating ruckus against “honest and honurable people”, absolved by none other than our “Honourable Lordship” while highjacking TV news. (Oh how I miss YouTube inspired news on India TV).
Now I had a simple plan that can save our country huge amount of money, time and hardship. I propose, we shut down all our courts. Now come on guys, don’t be so naive. See the bigger picture.
- We save loads of money being spent as salary, perks and hosting official tours to our busy, honest and extremely hard working judges.
- We save loads of money that people give as fee to our busy, honest and extremely hard working advocates.
- We save loads of money that we regularly have to pay as bribes/baksheesh to our busy, honest and extremely hard working babus, advocates and judges.
- We save loads of time that we spent waiting for an outcome – which is something we already know – a rich/powerful man is not guilty and rest all are.
- We save candles that we use for candlelight vigil in front of media cameras to pressurise our busy, honest and extremely hard working judiciary.
- We save media time.
- We will be saved from so called human right activist, women empowerment activist, child labour activist etc. blocking roads, raising slogans and their ugly spokespersons speaking on TV.
- Any disputes arising between any two parties will be decided depending on money and muscle power of parties involved. Stronger will always be correct and winner and other party should be punished severely so that it never does “crime” again. Or alternatively, we can always approach our elders who have shown remarkable judgement (ask any Khap member or Mullah).
So the law books (if required) will become so small and easy to understand.
Well here you go. So simple and straightforward. I am hopeful that you will agree to my idea, provided of course you are not busy, honest and extremely hard working judge, advocate or human right activist. Although there is a wee bit of doubt that it will be implemented. You see, my idea is simple and straightforward and such things are never appreciated.
PS: If my opinion, sounds like a contempt of court (just the way anything critical to our judiciary is), can the “Hounourable” courts, please ignore them just like they ignore logic and public opinion in large.
