My non existence
Feb 12th, 2008 by Virendra
Tired of my non-existence, I am willing to take on newer challenges. I would love to be part of a talent-hunt show or a reality show but somehow I do not think I will last more than a day there. I take a hell lot of time before I can shed tears and viewer ratings run on them. My salary is also not so high that I can purchase SMS (votes) in bulk.I tried joining a group of “cool people” in my office. But when you don’t smoke or tell the difference between scotch and vodka they give you a cold shoulder.
So, I have gone on to the cyber-world. No, not my blog. Who reads it anyway ? I am going to join groups in Orkut. Yes, Orkut – the great virtual world. Where you join hundreds of useless groups and gangs. Where you can search for photos of your buddies’ wives. Where you can check if your friend is actually as slim she claims to be or if she really married the multi-millionaire. But the best, to tell others that you were in Amreeka (by not changing the address in your Orkut profile, even if you were in USA for just one week and even if that was three years back).
Well, I have created a login and filled in all my details (and some people talk about how their identities get stolen). Since I started, I have found out some of my long-lost friends in alien lands, happy and content with their jobs, wives and kids. Now who would like to disturb such content people? And then there are those idiots who were not exactly my friends (pest, you still owe me twenty rupees and I have not forgotten how you copied from me in exam and still scored more than I did). The only time I would like to contact them will be when I am a black-belt martial-arts champion and have replaced my bones with dense Titanium.
Perhaps I should remain non-existent in this cruel world.
